There are very few people who have not heard stories about Henry the eighth. He is one of the most well known of all the British monarchs. Henry the Eighth was the second monarch from the house of Tudor. He was born on the 28th of June 1491. The first was his father, Henry the seventh. Henry was actually the second son and was not expected to become king. His early education was geared towards the clergy. Henry became king when his father died. Henry was crowned king on the 24th of June 1509. He would remain king until his death in 1547.
